Adalwolf Bardou Cuan

Mind Mage Master

Adalwolf Bardou Cuan “The Short One” is an IronJaw Daedal, a 20th level Mind Mage whom is the current Head Master of the Academy of Inner Spirit. He has been the Head Master for 18 years. He is heavily involved with student training and the curriculum that is taught. On occasion he teaches and mentors the most gifted of psychics who attend The Academy. He remains active in the politics of The Academy, Daedala, and Regnum. He was born on the 29th of Vahishta, 9896 A.T.

Adalwolf wasn’t born into a family of any particular note; just an average IronJaw family going about life in Daedala. As an IronJaw he was not destined to be very tall to begin with (his father was 4’9”), but he was the runt of the family, only reaching 3’ 2”. Most Dwarves towered over him. Of course he was ridiculed… but not for long. There is a strange natural phenomenon occurring in Daedala, which still isn’t fully explained by the very best of doctors and the most advanced Psi-Healers, wherein some of the family runts have fantastic psychic abilities. Although still very rare, it has been occurring at a greater rate over the decades. Adalwolf is one of these phenoms. Well before puberty (the average time most daewulf and daelwulf (female daewulf) first experience any psychic ability), Adalwolf, at age 6, developed psychic abilities and soon became a prodigy. He entered The Academy at age 10; enrolled in the most rigorous training. By 12 years of age he was the most advanced student at The Academy. At 13 he had surpassed half of the Professors in skill and abilities. At 14 he took a sabbatical of sorts from his training. Puberty hit him late, and he went off to sow his wild oats. He went on a tear for a few years, in trouble with the law and the guardians, but never anything serious. He was usually able to “convince” the authorities it was just harmless youth and angst. After he had gotten this out of his system he returned to The Academy and became the youngest ever Assistant Professor at the age of 17. Though young he was one of the wisest of his colleagues. Many came to him for advice and further education of the mind. He was made an Associate Professor by 20, full professor by 24, Assistant Dean of the Kinesis field at 30, and Dean of the Super field by 35. Through the years he continued his own training learning ever more of the abilities of the mind. After a few years as a Dean he was encouraged to take the roll of Assistant Head Master. He refused, stating he wanted to continue the education of the students and not be bogged down in paperwork and administrating all the time. Time after time he was approached to be Assistant Head Master or Head Master, time after time he refused. After the previous Head Master died, He became the oldest, wisest, most venerable member of Academy Staff. He had a sort of epiphany. He had been trying to shape the minds of everyone that came through the doors of The Academy. What better way than to be the Head Master. Once in a great while he could have a “dense moment”. This one had lasted over 40 years. He finally relented and accepted the position of Headmaster, to the chagrin of a few younger Masters that had their eye on the position. He currently has the 2nd longest tenure as Head Master. As for those that were foolish enough to ridicule him at any time in his life, shortly after any incident those that taunted him, and he would find out) would find about a weeks’ worth of their memories gone, albeit temporary.

As of the 2nd of Hordad, AdalWolf Caun has decided to resign as Head Master. This comes after the events of the 1st that lead to the deaths of almost 10,000 Dwarves that resided in Daedala. See the log From The Academy
