SONG OF TIME
SONG OF TIME
This is one of the few items that is not physical in this game and has only grown in 50,000 + years of it being sung by Ursen. It is said one can be apart of the Song of Time but one could never sing it all, for only Uwa can do that, for she IS time. When an Ursen psychic dreams and accesses the genetic memory of his people he will begin to hum the tune of what he accesses via the slow chanting language of his people. When a Shaman of Uwa accesses the Song of Time in an awakened state they may only speak in Uwa’yafe.
If a psychic rolls a critical failure (99 – 100% on percentile dice) they need to make a save vs. Insanity at a 14 or higher of develop a random insanity. If a Shaman of Uwa attempts to find a specific memory and fails they too must also make a save vs. Insanity at a 14 or higher of develop a random insanity. The more generic the memory or shared by multiple people the less of an issue this is and the penalty is smaller or non-existent.
It is spoken of in the tribal center of the Ursen that time is the voice that cannot be heard but is felt nonetheless. The Song of Time is learning to speak with that voice, and in that same span of 50,000 + years only one human has figured out how to utter the song. It was a 9 millennium ago and the human was a priestess of Zurvan, a god of time from the faith known as the Path of the Avadanti. It was that proof that other could truly see their ways that made them sign the Accord in 175 A.T.
